Day 4

After staying in the 4 star Novotel in Ury it was evedent we would be having a late start making the most of a swimming pool.
Once everybody had sorted there bikes, water and food out we set off about 10:00 heading 68 miles down to Auxerre.

The ride started off really well putting some milage behind us in high 30 temperatures, then the sky over the horizon begain to darken and you could make out rain in the distance.
Even though a few of us wished it could rain a little to cool us down we couldn't have anticipated how wet we were about to get!
The storm moving in on us

The temperature dropped by 10 degrees when the hevens opened with one mighty thunder storm forcing us to take cover.
The worst of the storm passed so we decided to get on with the last half of our journey, thankfully the sun came back out helping to dry us out.
We finally arrived at our hotel having to dry most of our gear down then off for dinner, few beers then bed ready to do it all again tomorrow.
